Well, no, 16 hairpin bends are not enough to complete the entire loop. 16 are the hairpin bends to the Falzarego pass, 13 km of pure pleasure with spectacular panoramic points.

The Mür dl Giat is a 350m climb with a maximum gradient of 19%.

A special day in the Dolomites with your bicycle

The Dolomites Bike Day is a true cycling celebration. You can decide to start and finish the loop from wherever is most convenient. Just get on the road and enjoy the same route used not only by the professionals in the Giro d'Italia, but also where thousands of cyclists of all levels ride the Maratona dles Dolomites, one of the largest single-day events for cyclists. You'll be able to experience and enjoy the Valparola, the Falzarego, and the Campolongo passes on closed roads and without any motorised traffic. There's no need to sign up (just show up the day of the event), and the event is free for anyone.

A taste of the Maratona

The Maratona dles Dolomites is the most popular granfondo in Europe. Every year more than 30,000 cyclists try to sign up through the ballot, but only 9,000 can be accepted. The Dolomites Bike Day is an opportunity to live part of the Maratona experience, since the events share the same roads.
