The route of the Dolomites Bike Day
Fascinating mountain roads in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage
The entire route of the Dolomites Bike Day, surrounded by meadows and mountains, winds along some of the most beautiful and famous roads of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage.
Experienced cyclists, as well as less trained cycling-tourists, will find ideal conditions on the 51 km long track with mountain passes, ascents and technical descents.
It is recommended to ride the selected route counterclockwise and on the right side of the road.
Starting from Alta Badia
From Alta Badia you first ride the gentle ascent of the Campolongo Pass road and down the gentle curves to Arabba. After a short flat stretch along the Fodom Valley, you reach Pieve di Livinallongo where the ascent to the Falzarego Pass and the Valparola Pass begins. The last part of the journey starts at the summit of the Valparona Pass. A panoramic hairpin road brings you down towards San Cassiano and Alta Badia.
Starting from Arabba
Starting in Arabba you follow the road along the Fodom Valley until you reach the village of Pieve di Livinallongo. From there begins the ascent to Passo Falzarego and then Passo Valparola. Descending the hairpin bends of Passo Valparola you will arrive in Alta Badia. Cross the villages of San Cassiano, La Villa and Corvara where you face the last, simple ascent of Passo Campolongo, returning back to Arabba.
